Rain Test Chamber

Rain Test Chamber IPX1-2

The Rain Test Chamber is a specialized testing device designed to assess the resistance of products and enclosures to vertically falling water droplets, simulating conditions such as light rain or condensation. Mainly used for IPX1 and IPX2 ingress protection testing, the chamber helps verify product performance against low-level water intrusion. It ensures compliance with standards such as IEC 60529 and GB/T 4208, and is widely applied in electronics, home appliances, lighting, and electrical components for quality assurance and reliability validation.

Overview

The IPX1–IPX4 Rain Test Chamber is designed to assess the waterproof protection of electrical and electronic products against dripping and spraying water as defined in IEC 60529 and GB/T 4208 standards. This chamber simulates conditions such as vertical dripping (IPX1), tilting dripping (IPX2), spraying water at up to 60° (IPX3), and splashing water from all directions (IPX4).

It is widely applied in consumer electronics, automotive parts, appliances, smart devices, and lighting components to ensure enclosure integrity, product safety, and durability under wet conditions. The system includes a drip tank and rotary turntable, with adjustable drip rates and test timing.

Features:

  • One Chamber, Full IPX1–IPX4 Capability
Perform drip, tilted drip, oscillating spray, and splashing tests in a single setup, streamlining your waterproof certification process.

  • Realistic Simulation of Rain Conditions
Simulates common weather exposure scenarios including rainwater dripping on vertical surfaces or water sprayed from different angles — ideal for validating product sealing performance.

  • Designed for Versatile Product Testing
Compatible with a wide range of test objects — from small handheld electronics to medium-sized automotive modules — with customizable drip area and rotary turntable.

  • Efficient Workflow & Repeatable Results
Pre-programmed timing and automatic turntable rotation ensure consistent testing cycles, minimizing human error and maximizing productivity.

  • Robust Build for Long-Term Reliability
Manufactured with corrosion-resistant stainless steel and sealed electrical components to ensure durability, especially in high-humidity test environments.

  • Smart Control with Safety Integration
Embedded control system offers intuitive operation with built-in protections for overload, water shortage, and system faults — ensuring both operator and equipment safety.
