The IPX5/IPX6 Rain Test Chamber is engineered to evaluate the waterproof capabilities of products exposed to powerful water jets. By simulating medium to high-pressure jet spray environments, this test chamber determines whether enclosures, seals, or protective structures can prevent water ingress that may affect functionality or safety. This is essential for devices used in automotive, outdoor electronics, lighting systems, and industrial control equipment.

The test complies with IEC 60529 standards for IPX5 and IPX6 levels:

  • IPX5: Water jets (6.3 mm nozzle) from all directions at 12.5 L/min, 30 kPa.

  • IPX6: Powerful water jets (12.5 mm nozzle) from all directions at 100 L/min, 100 kPa.
